David Moulsdale is a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist. Since founding the Optical Express Group in 1991 as chairman and chief executive he has grown it to become a dominant player in the eye care market. Acknowledged as a global leader in refractive eye surgery, Optical Express’s success can be attributed to significant investment in its medical expertise, technology and in providing independent medical oversight of its processes and procedures via a distinct medical Board. As well as growing a substantive business employing several thousand medical and support personnel, Optical Express believes in ‘giving something back‘ having donated circa £3M historically to worthy causes.
